“An ounce of practice is worth ten tons of talk” ~Swami Vivekananda.
This has been my philosophy in learning, practicing and teaching. I learn from experienced teachers, and I teach only from the experience of what has worked for me. Although talking can be helpful, it can also be where the energy ends, so the action does not happen. Life requires energy, it is used to work, think, speak, play, exercise and stress. The practice of the 8 limbs of yoga brings our awareness to our energy, it has guided me to use my energy most efficiently, it has transformed my body, mind, and belief of what is possible. This is the experience I want to share with my students.
