There’s is a certain kind of magic that comes from a room full of people all quietly gathered and surrendering to a caring professional that can not be found with the quick-fix approach of western medicine

I was first introduced to acupuncture with Christina about 5 years ago.

As someone who has struggled with autoimmune illnesses, PTSD and a generalized anxiety disorder and medication resistant depression for the last 15+ years – I had really been struggling to find relief or peace of mind. I was very intrigued by the principle that acupuncture works on the notion of our bodies knowing how to heal themselves with a little steering – so I gave it a try.

I’ve always struggled with insomnia and have never been able to nap during the day. In my first session (and every one that followed) I was out-cold within minutes. The atmosphere that has been fostered so carefully and lovingly by Christina and all other practitioners within Heart & Hands is tranquility incarnate. The benefits I’ve received from sessions with Christina and her staff have ranged from relief of an RA flare-up, emotional catharsis, insomnia relief to easing nerve pain from a serious MVI that left me with damage to my cervical spine, SI and AC joints.

The long term affects from realizing my body is capable of healing itself if given a helping hand have been immeasurable. I’ve gained a sense of capacity to take time to heal, and to trust the process. To feel empowered while living in a body riddled with issues is truly something invaluable.

There’s is a certain kind of magic that comes from a room full of people all quietly gathered and surrendering to a caring professional that can not be found with the quick-fix approach of western medicine. If you’ve never tried – you’ll never know just how great it can feel to wake up form a glorious acu-nap feeling rejuvenated and ready for more!
