What I didn’t know is how amazing it would feel to be a part of their community and how easy it would be to feel at home

I am sooo grateful to have found a wonderful place, a safe loving place that took me in as a regular acupuncture client. I was soooo worried that I wouldn’t find another place to be poked that I could afford on my low income.

I came to Heart and hands very raw. I heard that they were very caring and that I could be covered for 10 visits by my MSP. What I didn’t know is how amazing it would feel to be a part of their community and how easy it would be to feel at home.

I’ve spent many years in recovery, failing while trying oh so hard. The first time I tried acupuncture I was 18 and in detox. I was amazed at how helpful it was with my anxiety and soreness. Time passed, getting some good recovery in here and there. I now have over 7 years clean and sober. Approximately 4 years ago a counselor directed me to acupuncture and my recovery really started to come together. The balance between working through my trauma and healing through acupuncture has really been so beneficial.

I was so grateful when I reached out to Heart & Hands and that they were able to give me affordable sessions. I go weekly and it’s my most look forwarded day of the week! I’m able to feel understood by the talented acupunks and as soon as I sit in that chair a relief comes over me, as if the rest of life’s problems disappear and I’m totally open for healing. I honestly can tell myself, “good for you, this is great self-care!” There is something truly priceless about feeling the energy in my body shift around and I can feel my insides shift, my anxiety fade and my pain leave.
