Small acts of care…

We were gifted this wonderful, tender piece from a fellow Community Acupuncturist in Dakota Territory, also known as Minneapolis, MN. If you happen to be in that neck of the woods, do visit South Point Community Acupuncture for your pokes!

The artwork is by the talented Molly Costello who asked any of the recipients of their work to donate to abolitionist and/or mutual aid organizations in our respective communities.

For folks who aren’t local to Lkwungen Territories (AKA Victoria, BC CANADA), we’ve chosen to send funds to an organization we’ve supported for many years, Peers Victoria Resources Society, one of the many vital organizations providing social services and outreach to marginalized communities and also hard hit during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Peers has been providing outreach, harm reduction and education services for people in the sex industry for more 25 years. It is an innovative, multi-service grassroots agency established by, with, and for sex workers in 1995. Through direct service delivery and community partnerships, Peers provides an array of outreach and drop in harm reduction and support services alongside education and employment training for current and former sex workers, in Victoria and on Vancouver Island.

We invite you to check out each of the respective accounts we have shared with you, and if it’s within your means local organizations such as Peers, they could really use your support!
