BC Vaccine Pass

We are currently not part of the BC Vaccine Passport mandate at this time, but ALL other COVID protocols remain in place.

If it’s been quite some time since you’ve visited to please review our COVID-19 health & safety protocols prior to your visit.

COVID Creature-Comfort Acu-Nap Contingencies

As we fast approach a seasonal change (farewell summer…sniff…), we will need to get creative to ensure that you continue to be comfortable AND safe during your acu-naps and that we do not create an overwhelming amount of laundry….

Here are a few suggestions that may help you stay warm and enhance your level of comfort and relaxation:

  • DRESS WARMLY, sweaters, vests, scarves are all ways to keep your core toasty
  • Bring your own CLEAN blankets and/or heating pads, hot water bottles (yes, we have a kettle) from home
  • Toques are an option if you want to skip your head points
  • If you are prone to extra chilly feet, we can modify your point combo so you can leave your socks on
  • Headphones or ear plugs to block noise, as all the extra handwashing and talking to one another through our masks does create more background noise
  • Please do not arrive more than a few minutes before your appointment to minimize the time spent waiting outside as the weather starts cooling off and the days gradually get shorter. To maintain social distancing, it is not possible to let people wait in the lobby.
  • And if it’s been quite some time since you’ve visited to please review our COVID-19 health & safety protocols prior to your visit.

If you have additional suggestions, feel free to send them to us via our contact form

Community Acupuncture Schedule in progress

A tentative update that the H&H acupunking team will be joined by Dr. Brewster Scott, ND and Cydney Smith, R.Ac.

We are in the midst of training to ensure we can maintain our COVID health + safety protocols. There is currently no definite timeline as to when we will be adding new hours staffed by Brewster and Cydney, but once our schedule is solidified, we will make the official announcement!

But for the time being, we thank you all for your continued patronage, compliance to our health + safety policies and we hope to expand our hours into the fall!

Continuing our masking policy

A firm reminder that the requirement for wearing masks is still in place for health care facilities as outlined by the province’s COVID-19 reopening plan. COVID variants are a growing concern, so we must remain vigilant. We will be carefully watching over the summer and carefully changing policies accordingly.

Many of our fellow acu-nappers and members of the community have yet to receive the 1st vaccine dose and to consider that there are individuals who are medically vulnerable (ie. cancer patients, pregnant clients, immunocompromised clients) that we need to continue protecting.

We thank you in advance for continuing to mask up during your community acupuncture sessions and if you forget, we have medical masks for sale for $2.

Current adjustments to scheduling & booking

  • We are currently offering 4 appointments per hour. We are by appointment-only, no walk-ins.
  • Please use the ‘NOTES’ section to notify us of the reason for your visit when booking online. This will reduce the need for talking and the amount of time we are closer than 2 meters of each other.
  • We now have a waitlist in our online booking system, you access it on the BOTTOM LEFT when logged into JaneApp. We will call you if anything comes available.
  • Our practitioner schedule may be subject to change, similarly to asking our clients staying home if they are feeling ill, we will be implementing the same policy if one of our acupunks is feeling under the weather.
  • Our preference is payment by debit at this time, credit if necessary. To decrease touching of surfaces, we can’t provide change, so please bring the correct amount if you are paying cash.

For details about our safety & disinfection protocols, READ HERE.

Adjustments to our sliding scale & MSP due to COVID-19

Our current rates are $30-60 for returning clients, $40-70 for NEW clients.

We will still bill MSP directly for $23 per session and you will be responsible for paying the remaining $12-32 per session to fall within our $30-60 sliding scale.

Adjustments to cancellation policies

We are accepting cancellations up to 12 HOURS BEFORE your appointment.
Any scheduling changes within 12 hours of your appointment will be subject to a $35 cancellation fee

We are no longer offering rescheduling free of charge.
