The feeling of seeing a room full of sleeping bodies all knowing they need to slow down and ask for help and take care of themselves is a powerful thing.

My body is in fairly good health but there are times when I’m not feeling well and a trip to the walk-in doctors doesn’t seem like a welcoming and fruitful choice. I enjoy going to Heart & Hands for acupuncture, but I feel they deliver so much more than just a poke of a needle.

They offer kindness and a general sense of care for your well being just by arriving into the space. Being able to book on-line means I’m always able to find a cozy spot to lay down, and they offer warm blankets and a quiet oasis in the heart of our busy city.

It has a warm energy in the space and I enjoy knowing it is a place for others in my community to attain help when they need it. The feeling of seeing a room full of sleeping bodies all knowing they need to slow down and ask for help and take care of themselves is a powerful thing. Its nice to know Heart & Hands is trying to build a better society by helping its members be the best and healthiest they can be.

I appreciate that they offer a sliding scale for payments which make asking for help when your feeling down physically and financially an easier task. I have visited the clinic for well over 5 years now and have seen them for a variety of ailments from tooth pain, colds, back pain, hormonal issues and general anxiety. Every time I go I feel better and more at ease, I still can’t get over how quickly I tend to fall asleep after being poked!

I’m thankful for all the staff at Heart & Hands for being there and caring about our communities well-being. They have an open and progressive view towards healthcare and what are bodies are capable of repairing, and for that I’m thankful they exist in our community.
