$1251.25 raised in support of BIPOC Birthing Families!!
As a Birth Ambassador for the Nesting Doula Collective,
H&H has fundraised Thursdays from January 6th to March 10th, raising $1251.25!
Our fundraising efforts for the past 10 weeks go towards the online campaign, “It Takes a Village: 50 BIPOC Births in 2022“. The Nesting Doula Collective hopes to raise $50K for 50 births in 2022 as doula care is not supported by the medical system. Furthermore, the Collective provides their doula services at no-cost to families in order to decrease socioeconomic barriers to expectant BIPOC parents from receiving the care and support they need during a transformative period in their lives.
The Nesting Doula Collective is a Vancouver island-based collective of birth workers who provide culturally affirming and anti-oppressive care to pregnant, birthing, and postpartum families who identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or people of colour (BIPOC).
The collective’s fundraising is ongoing, please consider donating directly to the fundraiser directly, found HERE.
