Changes to our cancellation policies, commencing Sept 1st
As we approach the chaotic back-to-school season, the annual late summer wave of respiratory illness is well on it’s way. This is an opportune time to remind our client base about the importance of our cancellation policies.
We require 12 hrs notice for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments for our Community Acupuncture and Cupping + Gua Sha services.
Additionally, unless you wake up ill and call us first thing in the morning, there is a 4 hr cut-off for short notice cancellations. Anything less than 4 hrs is subject to our $35 late cancellation fee.
We will still handle emergencies on a case-by-case basis, of which having a sore throat or double booking yourself does not fit the criteria.
We understand sometimes illness is unavoidable and we regularly waive cancellation fees when clients wake up feeling unwell. However, in the fall and winter, our tiny practice is plagued with situations where clients wake up ill, then wait all day until an hour or two before their appointment to cancel. There is not enough time to fill your timeslot and this hurts our small business. Also, short notice cancellations leave a gap in our schedule that otherwise could have been filled by another client in need of care.
This far from a perfect system, but a necessary measure to ensure we minimize lost revenues that impact our small business and hardworking acupunks.
We thank you in advance for your ongoing accountability. Help us help you get the care you need.
