Province-wide restrictions: Re-iterating our COVID-19 Health & Safety protocols

Our COVID-19 Health, Safety and Administrative policies have continued to evolve and for the time being, there are no restrictions on health and personal services. With Dr. Bonnie Henry’s announcement of province-wide restrictions in place till Dec. 7th, this is the ideal time to remind you of our policies:

  • We ask that in the event of illness that you cancel/reschedule your appointment and STAY HOME – there is no penalty for cancelling due to illness or illness in your household. The same policy applies to our practitioners, hence, our schedule is subject to change.
  • Please DO NOT visit us if you have been travelling (even within Canada or BC), as per the Nov. 19th restrictions or if you have come in contact with someone with COVID-19.
  • All practitioners and clients will wear a face covering such as a medical mask, 2+ layer cloth mask or face shield when inside the clinic.
  • Our online booking system sends a COVID-19 screening survey 24 hrs before your appointment time. Please ensure you are receiving our emails and that you’ve completed the survey before arriving. Otherwise, we will verbally screen you at the door.
  • High touch surfaces will be regularly sanitized and hand sanitizer+Cavicide wipes are available in the lobby and bathroom.
  • All practitioners and clients will practice proper hygiene including coughing and sneezing into your elbow and practitioners will be regularly handwashing between tasks – we also encourage clients wash their hands before starting their session.
  • Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your appointment time. Our front door is kept locked to maintain the 2-meter social distancing.

In light of the province-wide restrictions, we also send a firm reminder about being cognizant of your social contacts, the settings and activities you choose to engage in and limiting yourselves to essential travel. Please be responsible and considerate of this if you choose to visit Heart & Hands.

And of course, if you suspect you have been exposed to COVID-19, to STAY HOME and use the BCCDC COVID-19 Self-Assessment Tool or call 8-1-1 for further instructions.

Protect yourselves, your community + fellow acu-nappers and our dedicated team of practitioners. We continue to anticipate and adjust to the possible risks of pandemic practicing so we can continue to offer our necessary and vital services.

We thank you in advance. Be safe, be calm and be kind.
