The art of generating space

A short piece written by Aviva Ciplinski, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist:

If you have been in session with me, I have likely asked you my favourite question: What resources you? What do you enjoy doing? What makes you feel a sense of spaciousness in your mind/body/spirit?

The art of generating space is on the path to feeling whole, healing deep and crafting a sense of wellness.

We feel it on the table and we can also create these healing sensations between sessions by taking the time to do the things you love. Doing what we love supports out systems to express our inherent health by deepening into the healing stillness within.

Try it, do something you love and feel into your body while you do it. What does it feel like? What are some words or shapes or colours you could use to describe those feelings?  Where do you feel it? How do those feelings resource you?

I took some time to read through the answers to my question from a number of clients over the years and compiled a list to share. While reading through this list, notice which acts of resourcing resonate with you, how does it make you feel to simply envision it.

Try making your own list. It’s worth it to really sit with the question of what truly supports you to feel resourced. Close your eyes, and randomly point to something on your list. Choose that one thing to do today to generate space in your system and spend some time getting to know that vital feeling it stirs up inside of you.
