Reno sneak peek #6: the bespoke details of H&H

A final reno sneak peek for the folks who haven’t made it to our new location!!

Firstly, here is a peek of the gem of our renos, our womb-like, night sky Community Acupuncture room…we didn’t end up sharing these earlier due to the chaos of sorting out our windows (still in progress) and preparing for our July 15th reopening.

With a larger, more spacious new treatment space, Christina took the opportunity to create something completely different from H&H 1.0. The intention of providing acu-nappers a captivating, imaginative and deeply relaxing sensory experience. Esp for the folks who don’t tend to sleep during their treatments, they have something gorgeous to rest their eyes upon.

We have future plans to mount a projector screen at the back of our room so we can host film screenings, gatherings, classes and whatever else our imagination can dream up…

The walls were given a painterly, Impressionist treatment courtesy of Christina. Denny brilliantly built these custom LED sconse lighting adding to the moody, soothing low illumination. We brought our brass dragons from Cormorant to provide little hints of glittering, golden light that catch the eye, but also for protection (we put these up the same day our windows were smashed). We also have a killer sound system to blanket the room in waves of Brian Eno and Riceboy Sleeps. Our inky, indigo ceiling glowing with LED stars, a full moon and the handmade clouds by @noahweaves will literally make your acu-naps the DREAMIEST, cozy, moody, low-stim experience at H&H 2.0!

Secondly, another H&H and Green Muse Herbs collab for our one-of-a-kind hand painted window signage: dried florals courtesy of GMH, lettering by Chris Dobell of Dobell Sign Co. and meticulous flower pasting by Christina!

We still wanted to share the former hand painted signage in it’s original glory prior to our windows being smashed on July 1st. Here is a peek into how Christina created the one-of-a-kind “Apothecary” signage.

We look forward to recreating this and refining the technique once our new windows have been installed.

We are relieved and ecstatic that renos are mostly wrapped up so we can finally shift our focus back on client care, but also that we get to invite our clients returning and new to visit our new space.

We love our new space and we hope you all do too!
